Black Pepper: The Oil of Unmasking

Black Pepper helps to life the veil and unmasks the façades we tend to put on to hide undesirable aspects of ourselves. It assists the individual in examining things with honesty and clarity. By taking off our mask and seeking to understand seemingly inappropriate feelings and behaviours, we allow our true thoughts and emotions to come forward and unblock the flow of growth.

Black Pepper invites us to “deep dive” into repressed memories and the less understood parts of our Self. Our intentions and feelings continue to exist whether we acknowledge them or not. When we push those feelings down, burying them and suppressing them, they seek to make themselves more known and they get triggered when least expected and are often expressed through erratic, compulsive or addictive behaviours. So in this way, Black Pepper eases in to give us the physical stamina and courage to overcome the things that are creating the problems to begin with! Try rubbing diluted Black Pepper into the soft tissue area above the breast and shoulder joint (clavicle) to release hurt feelings.

Black Pepper is great for those who worry constantly and have great worries or stress. It empowers those individuals to release any negative energies and embrace their own power. Black Pepper helps the mental, emotional and physical bodies become more receptive of spiritual guidance. Developing discernment and increasing spiritual acceptance overcomes repression, irresponsibility, and burdens that cause suffering and pain. New beliefs are aligned as old realities change, allowing greater love and understanding to be felt. We are then able to focused and direct our intent to manifest our spiritual and physical needs.

It also helps us “digest” unhealthy feelings towards people especially ourselves. This is helpful for those who are self-critical and angry or upset with themselves. By easing the frustration and anger caused by the conflict of old and new beliefs, resistance to change is lessened and physical stamina increases. Energetically, it stimulates within us the courage to address fears pertaining to low self-worth.

Black Pepper’s aroma is sharp and penetrating. Its energy is similar to the sudden awareness of holding one’s breath. This is a good oil to use when focusing on what you want to manifest or create. Often despair over the inability to pay bills, the lack of fulfilling employment, and other such experiences contribute to feelings of stress. Focusing on what you don’t want amplifies that reality and makes it occur but focusing your energy on what you desire releases the need to be a victim.

So next time you’re feeling like you’re suppressing yourself, try diffusing or inhaling some Black Pepper to re-fuel yourself with motivation, to live in integrity with your Self and to have the strength to overcome the challenges you carry inside.
