Clary Sage offers great support for women’s issues due to its balancing nature. But apart from that, I personally found Clary Sage to be quite the surprising oil emotionally-speaking.
Every time I would apply it topically when my thoughts would start to get muddled and I enter into that zone where everything is distracting, Clary Sage would come to the rescue and help me see new possibilities or ideas. Like a small glimmer of hope, it assists in developing a new sense of discernment and tap into something deeper. You’re suddenly able to see through the muck and you’re open to intuition and inner wisdom to be guided into new experiences and perspectives.
Clary Sage is very quieting to the mind, almost euphoric because of its spicy, sharp and grassy scent all at the same time. For those who can sit still enough to let it quiet the mind, this oil is for you because you will gain a sense of clarity even just from holding the bottle! The oils have God-bestowed energetic vibrations that transcend even the vessle they are held in so never underestimate your oils and their potency.
If our brain is racing, it is difficult to know what to do next or how to do it and we get lost inside our own heads or thoughts. When we are relaxed and focused, ideas flow to us naturally and we embrace their meaning. Use Clary Sage oil to bring the mind back into the moment so you can enjoy the stillness rather than the chaos. It’s also known to enhance one’s ability to dream and visualise, so watch out!
It will assist in opening creative channels and clearing creative blocks so it’s best to get that bottle out when you’re working on a massive client project or needing to have your A-game on for an important presentation. It will help you stay focused and eliminate distractions and help you get to that state of “emptiness” where creative ideas can emerge full-speed.
The beauty of Clary Sage is that it teaches the individual how to use its God-bestowed natural gifts and in attaining clarifying spiritual vision. The gift of discernment is developed and with that comes acceptance of the reality of a spiritual world.
Because Clary Sage oil is an oil for dispelling confusion and illusion, it’s often used on the brow chakra (or third eye chakra) and during meditation, contemplation, or creative work.
Clary Sage blends well with: Bergamot, Cypress, Geranium, Sandalwood and Wild Orange.
Depending on your uses for this oil, substitutes may include: Fennel, Frankincense, Lavender or Sandalwood, Lavender.
Use with caution during pregnancy, especially during first trimester or over abdomen, since Clary Sage can cause uterine contractions. Not for infants or toddlers. Avoid during or after use of alcohol. Always test for skin sensitivity prior to widespread use and use on the feet when possible. Excessive use of any oil can lead to skin sensitisation. Keep out of eyes, ears, or nose. Not all oils are created equal, so test brands carefully, and never use an oil in a way not recommended by its maker.
