Jasmine: The Oil of Sexual Purity & Balance

Did you know that the Jasmine blossom is known in India as “Queen of the Night”? That is why the blossoms need to be harvested before sunrise as their fragrance greatly diminishes after that. Jasmine flowers emit a highly fragrant aroma for up to 36 hours after being hand-picked. Extracting Jasmine is labor-intensive and must be done at daybreak, when the flowers are most fragrant and have the highest percentage of components intact.

Because of its popularity and cost, Jasmine Absolute oil is often adulterated. Just to give you an idea of how precious this oil is here are some figures:

  • One pound of Jasmine Absolute oil is equivalent to 1,000 pounds of jasmine which is 3.6 million unpacked blossoms
  • One pound of PURE Jasmine Absolute oil (therapeutic quality) would cost up to $4,500 per pound
  • One pound of SYNTHETIC Jasmine Absolute oil (perfume quality) costs about $3.50 per pound

Seeing things in terms of dollars and cents always brings the point home.

Jasmine oil is often included in many professionally-made blends because of its diversity. It alleviates stress and balances our emotional wellbeing. Jasmine supports the individual unconditionally.

Jasmine helps us find our own source of inner support and strength. It grounds us into our own center and allows us to seek, find and receive support in new ways. Like White Fir, it can also support us in breaking generational patterns and heal relationships. When you feel unsupported, alone, rejected, Jasmine comes in to assist you in processing these feelings but also helps you become more flexible while remaining strong and grounded. It may also help you when you feel scattered, overwhelmed, unsupported, resistant towards others and lacking connection with those whom you love, feeling challenged to trust others, and so on.

Another interesting aspect of Jasmine is its ability to help us understand our sexuality and release fears associated with it such as intimacy, feelings of unworthiness and being used. It nurtures healthy sexuality and helps balance sexual forces. Jasmine stimulates our passions and helps us regain interest in the sexual experience. It cultivates positive experiences within intimate relationships by purifying any unhealthy sexual intentions and motivations. It helps us to honor and respect our partners and ourselves.

Jasmine also helps in the release of past sexual trauma. Its been used for years to help bring forward the healing process related to unresolved sexual experiences. These traumatic experiences can really distort one’s relationship with sexuality. Jasmine can help both those who fear, repel or oppose the sexual experience as well as those who obsess over it and are addicted to sex. It is balancing for those who use sex as a fill for an empty void, for those who are desperate for love and approval and for those who reject sexual closeness.

Jasmine empowers the individual and supports the resolution of sexual trauma, it encourages safety within personal relationships and invites only the purest of intentions to the experience to bring genuine euphoria and happiness. Jasmine supports the root, sacral and solar plexus chakras and unites them which allows the heart chakra to expand.

Usage Tips

Always test for skin sensitivity prior to widespread use and use on the feet when possible. Excessive use of any oil can lead to skin sensitisation. Keep out of eyes, ears, or nose.
