Lavender: The Oil of Communication

Lavenderis one of the most versatile oils in nature. The fragrance is very relaxing and calming to the body and mind. This oil is a “must have” for any home!

Lavender helps with our ability to communicate honestly and openly. It gives us greater intuition and clarity. It quiets our racing minds and calms any insecurities that are felt when one risks sharing their innermost thoughts and feelings. Lavender addresses a dep fear of being seen and heard. People that need Lavender are often hiding within, blocking all forms of true expression of themselves. They may be going through the motions of outward expression, but they’re actually really holding back and not sharing their innermost thoughts and feelings. Their expression is not connected to their heart and soul so it remains hidden and unrevealed.

Lavender supports people in releasing any tension associated with fear of rejection and fear of expressing one’s Self. Perhaps it was a bad experience that led an individual to deem it unsafe to express themselves. So they shelter their True Self and it goes unexpressed. Strong feelings of being unlovable, unworthy, unnoticed and unheard are typical to individuals who feel trapped and unable to communicate openly.

Lavender encourages emotional honesty and helps the individual speak their innermost thoughts and wants. As individuals learn to convey their deep feelings, they become freed from the prison they put themselves in. It’s only through open and honest speech that one can experience unconditional love and acceptance.

Lavender, with its calming, relaxing and balancing properties, gives that courage to freely share their True Self with others.

Usage Tips

Always test for skin sensitivity prior to widespread use and use on the feet when possible. Excessive use of any oil can lead to skin sensitisation. Keep out of eyes, ears, or nose. Not all oils are created equal, so test brands carefully, and never use an oil in a way not recommended by its maker.
