Lemongrass: The Oil of Cleansing

Lemongrass is said to be the oil of energetic cleansing. It’s a powerful cleanser of energy. In this way, it would be useful in clearing energy from a home, room or office space and in letting go of negative energy which may help those feeling stuck, heavy or low. Lemongrass helps you enter a healing mode or cleansing state so that you can easily let go of old, limiting beliefs, toxic energies and negativity.

Lemongrass allows you to move forward without any hesitation and gets you to commit to a healing path, emotionally, physically and spiritually where change is a regular occurence.

Because it helps cleanse the energy around the home, it really encourages those who hoard stuff to let go of everything they no longer need.

Lemongrass has a pungent, earthy aroma which heightens awareness and purifies the mind. Lemongrass is beneficial for the brow chakra (or “spiritual eyes”) and it also protects our own energetic field (or “aura”) from electromagnetic energy (TV, computers, radio). So this would be a great oil to have close at hand when frequenting places where there are lots of people and bodies are being bombarded by others’ energies. Lemongrass helps transform these negative energies into positive energies. It allows the left brain to see options, so once the negative energies are released, optimism, courage and hope prevails.

Usage Tips

Always test for skin sensitivity prior to widespread use and use on the feet when possible. Excessive use of any oil can lead to skin sensitisation. Keep out of eyes, ears, or nose. Not all oils are created equal, so test brands carefully, and never use an oil in a way not recommended by its maker.
