The components of grapefruit that interact with prescription medications (compound naringin, which is found in the fruit of grapefruit) are not the same components found in Grapefruit essential oils, so there are no issues in this regard. Naringin is not present in the rind of the grapefruit and therefore not found in the cold-pressed Grapefruit essential oil.
