Spearmint: The Oil of Confident Speech

Spearmint is the oil that inspires clarity of thought and confident verbal expression. It is the oil that brings about a sharp mind and confidence in “putting yourself out there”. Think of when you take a breath mint, you get a quick boost of confidence and feel good about yourself. It’s energising, revitalising and even encouraging. Spearmint is great for those who tend to hide their thoughts, opinions and ideas or that often withhold their voice and don’t speak out. Spearmint encourages one to have some clarity about their personal convictions and opinions and assists in translating that clarity into spoken words. So if you’re about to speak in front of a group of people or at a conference, Spearmint would be a great oil to use (a drop under the tongue or in your water).

Spearmint is also great to uplift your mood, especially if you’re going through a bout of sadness, stress or mental exhaustion. The energy of Spearmint opens and releases emotional blocks which helps to bring balance to the body. By becoming clear in what we want to say and then actually saying it, we can overcome many blocks related to shyness, fear of public speaking, afraid to express opinions. Spearmint brings about more self-trust which is important in moving forward and overcoming negative emotions. It affects the solar plexus and heart chakras which are your centers of power, self-worth, confidence and inner peace and love, respectively.
