I have to share this with you because it may just be the very thing you need if you’re looking to shed some extra weight that no longer serves you or the gym is simply not cutting it for you or you’re finding yourself going through this quitting sugar thing all alone with little to no support and your motivation is declining quicker than you can say “cookie in my belly now”.

Since I became a mum in 2011, I found myself putting all my energy into anything and everything except for the single most important thing: ME. I haven’t been very good at the self-care bit and my excuse was time. I just don’t have the time. Now I know that I just didn’t make taking care of me and my body a priority.

Just like I prioritised me when I was planning my wedding in July 2010. In two months, I went from 85 kilos to 75 kilos through perseverance, commitment, close attention to what I was eating and how much I moved my body throughout the day. And the best part of it was: it was effortless!

I had the right mindset and I had a crystal clear goal: to fit in that wedding dress of mine by 12 September 2010 (Wedding Day). Boy did I ever 🙂 It was one of the greatest feelings of sense of achievement I had ever experienced. To have shed that weight so effortlessly because my MIND knew that I was going to be safe in a new body shape, it was like soaring to new heights and it felt really good 🙂

I don’t know what happened after I gave birth to my daughter 10 months later but I completely went down the rabbit hole of self-neglect which led to body shame and body guilt. Not only had I regained those 10 kilos, but I also put on another 5 ! Sure it was pregnancy weight but this weight hasn’t shifted nor budged for 4 years. It was a vicious cycle of emotional eating, lack of moving my body and binging on the trifecta of doom: salt, sugar and fat. I didn’t really care that I couldn’t shed the weight quick enough and I think I kept it on to feel safe.

But then I discovered…





Before TERRAfit, I was always trying out different weight-loss programs or would subscribe to gyms and never go. I had no accountability system and no support to keep motivated to stay on the right track. With no compelling goal like fitting into a wedding dress, shedding the weight was certainly not effortless anymore. Plus, my brain already believed I could only be safe with a good cushion of fat around my thighs or that motherhood required a carefree attitude towards food to be able to “make it” through the stressful day of taking care of an active and very determined baby.

In 2014, I was introduced to TERRAfit which I absolutely LOVED. I saw some stubborn weight shift after 90 days. I kept spurring on and by mid-2015, I decided to fully embrace the journey of helping others get lean and fit as I got leaner and fitter myself.

So I became a TERRAfit Coach. It’s been an amazing journey thus far, scroll down for some testimonials from some of the lovely people I’ve had in my teams thus far.

I like to workout at home, walk around my neighborhood, do yoga with my daughter and walk along the nice Melbourne beaches. I don’t feel quite myself anymore if I’m not moving for at least 30 minutes during the day! The best part is that I have a team to stay accountable to which provides me the motivation I need and a sense of personal responsibility to make sure I am moving every day & eating healthy.

The accountability system is an integral and critical part of TERRAfit.

This program is built to achieve RESULTS. The workout videos were created to suit any fitness level from someone who sits on the couch all day to a marathon runner. What I really love about the program is the built-in accountability through the Points Tracking System and the Team Support. When you sign up in my team, you are part of a team of 5 or 6 motivated individuals that I will coach and mentor throughout the entire challenge. Track your points

You have 12 weeks to get rewarded for your health choices throughout the challenge. Earn up to 100 points a day through various avenues:




Get leaner: 4 x 4 Interval Training System

Traditionally, we know that the length of time we exercise has a direct impact on how many calories we burn which translates to how much fat we lose.

TERRAfit’s unique 4 x 4 Interval Training System combines lean muscle strength training with High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) which can help you burn up to 9 times the fat and calories of a traditional cardio workout. So you are working out SMARTER not harder!

When you combine strength training into a 4 x 4 interval workout, you achieve results that last: you get into shape, burn maximum fat, and provide strength and toning to your body.

In TERRAfit, you follow a specific workout schedule for the entire 3 months and it changes every month so that you don’t hit a plateau. Earn points for weight loss

While there is no exact science to weight loss and the myth of Calories In / Calories Out has been debunked or at least questioned, TERRAfit uses a simple formula to calculate weight loss.

Our body needs energy. We get energy from the food we consume, specifically carbohydrates, protein and fats. When we eat more than we can use, our body stores the excess in our fat cells as energy storage that can be used later on. When we use more energy than we consume, our body draws on the energy storage in our fat cells. In order to make this formula work for you, you need to have an understanding of how many calories you need to decrease your consumption by and combine that with the TERRAfit workout schedule on a consistent basis.

If you lose weight during the challenge, you will get Weight Loss Points each week you lose weight. Weigh-ins are every Monday morning first thing upon waking up.

Every day you track your points in the TERRAfit Points Tracker. This keeps you accountable to yourself and to your teammates and coach!

Accountability & support

During TERRAfit, you are part of a team of 5-6 people with similar goals and commitment to change. I’ve never been able to hold myself accountable as much as I have been able to during TERRAfit and I will hold you accountable to every possible degree!

I workout and eat healthy for my health first and then I do it for my team because I want to be a good team player and coach. The support system makes ALL the difference in the world and that’s why TERRAfit truly works.

You get to interact online in a private Facebook group where I prepare you for the challenge a week before it starts and where I post the Daily Challenges and other motivational articles, stories, etc. The onus is on the TEAM who will challenge you and motivate you. We don’t all have to be in the same city because of this ability to interact on social media. If you don’t end up with very close friends at the end of the challenge, then you will at least have bonded for 12 weeks (or 21 days) with like-minded people who won’t judge if you have any setbacks and will help you pick yourself up when the tough gets going. And it WILL get tough. That’s from experience. Anything worthwhile takes time, consistency and persistence.



Good workout shoes

It’s important to protect your knees and joints from injury with a good pair of workout shoes.



You’ll need some light, medium and heavy weights that will give you good resistance. This is important to increase your tone. Realise that your stamina and strength may increase quickly, so adjust your weights as necessary.


Clothing & Towel

Getting lean involves sweating off those unwanted pounds, so keep a workout towel handy. Make sure your clothes are comfortable and allow your skin to breathe.


Water Bottle

Staying well-hydrated is part of a healthy workout; you’ll want to replenish your body fluids both during and after the workout. We recommend a water bottle made of glass (optimal), stainless steel or BPA-free plastic (least preferred). *Workout Tip: Add a drop of Peppermint oil or Metabolic Blend to your water to increase energy and detoxification.

The TERRAFIT workouts follow a specific order because they are designed to bring you maximum impact and results. You can live-stream the workouts right from the TERRAFIT Advantage portal or you can purchase some DVDs (a set of 6 DVDs including 13 High Intensity Workouts)

If you're thinking of doing TERRAfit, don't think anymore, JUST DO IT! I've tried a few programs before mostly on my own, solo-style. I've just completed the January 2016 Challenge and absolutely loved it. I used to only eat 2 meals: an early breakfast and then dinner at 6:00 pm and it made me eat more than I should. I was also feeling very sluggish all the time and not sleeping very well. Now I feel AMAZING and my belly has a little alarm clock every 2 to 3 hours ``feed me`` and I eat when I am actually hungry and great portions. Heba is a fantastic coach, always available for a chat and if you have a concern you can private inbox her she'll be right there supporting and motivating you. She's the real deal and a wealth of knowledge. The Daily Challenges are great and so are the amazing recipes she shares! The TERRAfit Points Tracker was a great help and I can easily do it again. I lost 8 kgs (17.5 lbs) and I lost a total of 30.5 cms from my right & left thighs, waist, hips and chest!! I am SO stoked and proud of myself. Thank you TERRAfit and Heba for the new happier ME.
